About the Role:We support individuals with learning disabilities, who may also have additional difficulties. The post holder will be required to support the Registered Manager in appropriately managing the service in line with Regulations, Codes of Conduct and Policies and Procedures. To share on a delegated basis the management duties within the service and to support the Registered Manager in taking responsibility for supporting individuals and managing the resources designated to the service.

Your responsibilities as a Deputy Manager will include:

  • Ensuring appropriate care and support is provided to Individuals who live in Pine.
  • Support the Registered Manager.
  • Assessment of individuals to determine if Pine can meet their needs.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining records.
  • Manage staff rota.

Learning & Development:

  • Commit to the development of your learning and practice.
  • Practically demonstrate reflective and blended learning on an ongoing basis, as well as completing any other training requirements for the role
  • Undertake Continuous Personal Development through taking personal responsibility for your self-development and lifelong learning.

About the Service: Pine Cottages are a row of four small terraced cottages, each having a private garden. The design of each property enables the delivery of bespoke services for people with learning disabilities in a homely environment where the staff team will endeavour to provide them with the appropriate care and support to enable them to achieve their potential by enhancing wellbeing, independence and quality of life.The residents benefit from bespoke, intensive support on a one to one or two to one basis depending on the complexity of their behaviour and the impact this can have on themselves and those around them.

Skills: Strong communicator, creative, motivated, ability to cope in challenging situations, understand and support individuals to lead a good quality of life whilst achieving positive outcomes along the way. Have a wealth of experience in the social care sector, either have or be willing to complete the relevant QCF. Understanding of care planning and have experience of writing PCP and PBS documentation. Good organisational skills, leadership experience, good communication skills, I.T literate ability to be flexible around their working hours

The cottages allow individuals to live either semi independently, as part of a care pathway, or for those who may benefit from intensive support on a one to one or two to one basis, depending on the complexity of their behaviour.
