About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for you to join an existing friendly team here at New Hall Independent Hospital.

The purpose of the role is support the catering Manager and hospital in the delivery of high quality. Health focused food along with safe hygiene practices. You will be required to meet all current guidelines and requirements.

It will be part of your role to support patients’ health, Cultural and Religious needs, and offer a healthy choice of foods and encourage feedback from the views of the patients within the hospital.

Personal responsibilities:To maintain and develop your existing skills, maintain a personal portfolio, aid compliance and Clinical Governance requirements. You will be expected to maintain an awareness of current hygiene, COSHH and HACCP requirement and undertake all mandatory training and other training as required for the function of the role.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in the preparation of meals for large groups of people. Be able to demonstrate evidence of understanding of food and kitchen hygiene along with evidence of the ability to implement ordering.

Skills: Strong communicator, good working knowledge of current food trends and special dietary requirements.

About the Service: New Hall Independent Hospital is a male only service and provides open, secured and low secure services to individuals living with complex and enduring mental health conditions.

The service provides rehabilitation and recovery services to support and enable individuals to successfully achieve transfer or discharge to a more independent setting.

New Hall Independent Hospital provides open, locked and low secure services at three separate units in Ruabon, Wrexham, for up to 32 men aged 18 to 64 who have a primary diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness/mental disorder. It can take patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

It provides rehabilitation and recovery services to support and enable individuals to successfully achieve transfer or discharge to a more independent setting.
