MHC is delighted to begin the search for a highly experienced Head of Business Development to take on the responsibilities for driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence. This role plays a critical part in shaping the strategic direction of the company by leading business development initiatives, negotiating major deals, and fostering long-term client relationships.

Job Purpose:

  • To manage the relationships between MHC and the Local Authorities and NHS bodies that may commission our services such that a steady ‘pipeline’ of suitable referrals can be provided to the Registered Managers of MHC homes.
  • Leadership for Customer Relationships and Tender Procurement processes, fee uplift processes and fee setting.
  • Active membership of the MHC SMT and participation in all company activity linked to achieving targeted levels of occupancy.
  • Leadership for the development of internal and external marketing of MHC to support the growth and development of the company.
  • Managerial responsibility for the MHC Placement Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To Develop and implement business development strategies in support of the organisational strategic plan and goals.
  • To work with the Operations Directors to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and to develop the reputation of MHC as an expert provider in the market place.
  • To Identify and evaluate new markets, frameworks, and services that align with the company’s growth objectives.
  • To work with the Directorate to establish MHC as a specialist provider of high quality residential services and a provider of choice for UK local authority adult services.
  • To feedback to the Directorate any market intelligence which might inform future strategic choices.
