Staff Nurse RNMH / RNLD – Newton House

We are looking for Staff Nurses to join our existing friendly team immediately!

Salary:     £19.08 per hour

Requirements:     RNMH / RNLD / RMN / Diploma / Degree & NMC registration.  Be able to demonstrate continuous professional development. We would welcome applications for preceptorship.

Hours of Work:     42 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, 3 on 3 off

Contract Type:     Permanent

About the role: We have a Staff Nurse Position available to work in a high performing Hospital supported by a very experienced Nursing / MDT and Management team.  Applicants must hold appropriate Nursing qualifications as the roles foundations are on individualised patient care.

A key aspect of the role is supporting the patient’s journey and progression through the hospitals care pathway, provide clinical leadership to both staff and patients and act as a role model for the delivery of care and ensure that all staff are performing to required standards. Ensure effective and adequate individual assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and oversee the named nurse role for your identified patients.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, share your experiences and really make a difference to the lives of those we support. It may be that you want a change, fresh start or just want to bring your skills to Newton House, where at the same time you can benefit from support and guidance from the senior nurses, MDT and senior management team.  There will be an opportunity for you to access our bespoke training package and internal comprehensive training offered in the hospital.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in mental health issues, possess experience in being a named nurse, writing care plans and risk management plans and for preceptorship nurses willing to undertake the preceptorship package offered at Newton House. Within this role you will need an understanding of recovery, patient centred care, team working, personal development, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.

About the Service: Situated a mile from the seaside town of Blackpool, Newton House Independent Hospital provides locked rehabilitation, habitation and treatment to up to 21 men living with complex and enduring mental health conditions.

Newton House is a Recovery and Treatment Centre in Blackpool that provides locked rehabilitation, habilitation and treatment for up to 21 men aged 18+ with a primary diagnosis of a mental health disorder who may have coexisting secondary conditions such as challenging behaviour, drug and alcohol issues and/or personality disorder. It can take patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

Its central location makes it ideal to support community focused rehabilitation and treatment.
