Staff Nurse RNMH / RNLD – St David’s Independent Hospital

We are looking for Staff Nurses to join our existing friendly team immediately!

Salary:   £19.08 per hour

Requirements:     RNMH / RNLD / Diploma / Degree & NMC registration.  Be able to demonstrate continuous professional development. We would welcome applications for preceptorship

Hours of Work:    42 hours per week on a rota basis, 12 hour shifts, 3 on 3 off which will include weekends and nights. We also have Bank positions available

About the role: We have Full Time and Bank Staff Nurse Positions available to work in a high performing Hospital supported by a very experienced Nursing / MDT and Management team.  Applicants must hold appropriate Nursing qualifications as the roles foundations are on individualised patient care.  MHC’s preceptorship package is a supportive structured process that allows newly qualified nurses to develop their skills with supervision and guidance.

A key aspect of the role is supporting the patient’s journey and progression through the care pathway, provide clinical leadership to both staff and patient’s and act as a role model for the delivery of care and ensure that all staff are performing to required standards.  Ensure effective and adequate individual assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and oversee the named nurse role for your identified patients.

The successfully appointed Staff Nurse will have the opportunity to develop their skills, share their experiences and really make a difference to the lives of those we support. It may be that you want a change, fresh start or just want to bring your skills to St David’s, where at the same time you can benefit from support and guidance from the senior nurses, MDT and senior management team.  There will be an opportunity for you to access our bespoke training package and internal comprehensive training offered in the hospital.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in mental health issues, possess experience in being a named nurse, writing care plans and risk management plans and for preceptorship nurses willing to undertake the preceptorship package offered at St David’s. Within this role you will need an understanding of recovery, patient centred care, team working, personal development, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.

About the Service: St David’s independent hospital stands by the banks of the River Dee and within walking distance of the small village of Carrog – A picturesque part of North Wales.

The service provides open rehabilitation and treatment for males (aged 18 years +) diagnosed with a learning disability and/ or additional complex needs including autism and mental health needs.

St David’s is an independent 15-bed hospital with extensive grounds set in a tranquil location in Carrog, Corwen.

It cares for men aged 18+ with a diagnosis of a learning disability and/or additional complex needs including autism and mental health needs. It can take patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 and offers rehabilitation for those leaving acute or secure services or step-up service for patients when their current placement has broken down due to their behaviours.
