Night Support Worker – Meols Drive

We are looking for a Night Support Worker to join our existing friendly team immediately!

Salary:     £10.07 – £10.74 per hour plus 20p per hour night shift allowance

Desirable/ Requirements:    QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care OR working towards, must be a driver with at least 2 years experience

Hours of Work:    42 per week

About the Role: We have a vacancy for you to join an existing friendly team, supporting individuals with a learning disability/Autism, to lead a full and meaningful life. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, share your experiences and really make a difference to the lives of those we support.

If you are ready for an exciting and varied role where you will support individuals to achieve a good quality of life through rehabilitation programmes and progressing them to live in and be part of the community.  The rehabilitation process may include visiting leisure centres, college courses, sports clubs, leisure interests and much more besides.

It may be that you want a change, fresh start or just want to bring your skills to Meols Drive where at the same time you can benefit from support and guidance from the management team.  There will be an opportunity for you to access our bespoke training package.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in learning disabilities (however this is not essential).  Within this role you will need an understanding of, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.  You will also be required to manage difficult care and complex individuals that present challenging behaviour.

Skills: Strong communicator, creative, motivated, ability to cope in challenging situations, understand and support individuals to lead a good quality of life whilst achieving positive outcomes along the way.

About the Service:  Situated in the coastal town of Hoylake, Meols Drive boasts panoramic views over Liverpool bay and the Royal Liverpool Golf Course. The service provides residential with nursing support to men (aged 18 years+) living with a learning disability and/ or additional complex needs including Autism and Mental Health conditions.

Based in the heart of the community with ample gardens, it provides care and rehabilitation to enhance opportunities for individuals to live as independently as possible.
