£10.07 – £10.74 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the role

The role of a Support Worker is to care, support, and protect residents to enable them to lead a meaningful life. At MHC, we believe each resident is a human being with an equal right to life and good treatment as everybody else. Through the implementation of a person centred support plan, the Support Worker will strive to help people remain as independent as possible and to maximise their quality of life. They will work as part of a dedicated, qualified and capable staff team who put the people living here at the heart of what we do.

Glyn Rhosyn

Glyn Rhosyn is a male only residential nursing service for individuals living with a learning disability and complex needs who are looking to step down from acute services or step up from community based services. This will provide a more robust, durable and sustainable nursing provision for a period of care and rehabilitation. Glyn Rhosyn promotes independence and choice through Person Centred Planning, Active Support and Positive Behavioural strategies.

These purpose built homes in the heart of the community in Holywell, North Wales, are for men aged 18+ who have a diagnosis of borderline to moderate learning disabilities who may have co-existing secondary conditions such as complex and/or mental health needs and Autism.

Glyn Rhosyn provides nursing care for up to 10 men who are looking to step down from acute services or step up from community-based services. The six-bed Glyn Rhosyn Villas offers community based residential living without nursing.
