Salary: £13.17 – £13.69 per hour dependent on experience
Requirements: NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role: We have a vacancy for you to join an existing friendly team, supporting individuals with a learning disability / mental health condition to lead a full a meaningful life. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, share your experiences and really make a difference to the lives of those we support.
As a Team Leader you will take a key role in delivering the services within the home ensuring the promotion of good working practice and offering a role model to support staff. You will work closely with the Home Manager to provide professional support, supervision and guidance to a team of support workers, to ensure continuity of care.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in learning disabilities and mental health issues possess some experience in leading a team. Within this role you will need an understanding of, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.
Skills: Good problem solving skills, time management – ability to multitask, high degree of organisational skills, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
About the Service: Avalon is a community based residential service for people living with a learning disability. Working collaboratively, support is designed to be truly person centred to individual needs, ambitions and aspirations. Our aim is to provide care and support tailored to each individual specific need. Residents are encouraged to develop daily living skills which may include partaking in household tasks and developing culinary skills to seek an enhanced quality of life leading to more independence.
