We are looking for a Deputy Hospital Manager to join our existing friendly team immediately!
Salary: £42,500 per Annum
Desirable/ Requirements: QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or an equivalent qualification (or working towards)
Hours of Work: 40 per week, plus participation with the out of hours on-call rota
Contract Type: Permanent
About the Role: We want to appoint a Deputy Hospital Manager who will support the Registered Manager at St David’s Independent Hospital and the wider team. An absolute commitment to the care and rehabilitation of individuals with intellectual disabilities is fundamental to your values.
St David’s Independent Hospital provides a rehabilitation service for 15 males aged 18 years and over. The service specialises in the care and treatment of individuals with borderline to moderate learning disabilities and those with co-existing mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will be joining an established clinical and nursing team. Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery, the successful candidate will have an ability to engage effectively with patients, staff and stakeholders, and be willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
It is essential applicants can demonstrate a strong background in operational management and subsequent commercial awareness. You will be expected to support the Registered Manager to lead and motivate the team, displaying the values expected. The role is key in supporting the development and progression of staff.
Skills: You must be a strong communicator, creative, motivated, and have the ability to cope in challenging situations. Kindness, compassion and a commitment to continuous improvement is essential. You will be organised and effective in relation to time management. You will be able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have the ability to identify service needs and support the management of budgets. You will be able to comply with reporting arrangements and work within regulatory frameworks. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS.
About the Service: St David’s independent hospital stands by the banks of the River Dee and within walking distance of the small village of Carrog – A picturesque part of North Wales.
The service provides open rehabilitation and treatment for males (aged 18 years +) diagnosed with a learning disability and/ or additional complex needs including autism and mental health needs.
