About the role
The purpose of the Receptionist is to assist the Administration Lead to provide a high standard of reception cover for the hospital. Including operating switchboard, receiving visitors and dealing with queries as and when applicable. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors at the Hospital, ascertain the purpose of the visit and direct them to the appropriate staff and venue. On a daily basis the receptionist will be required to communicate via telephone, email and mail in an effective and efficient manner. The Receptionist will also liaise with MDT and other professionals when necessary and be responsible for developing and maintaining effective and efficient filing systems. The Receptionist will undertake day to day administration duties as required by the service.
Skills: Highly Organised, ability to use Microsoft Word & Excel, proven ability to work as part of a team and maintaining excellent working relationships with professionals, have excellent communication skills face to face, via telephone and email.
About the Service: Situated within walking distance of the village of Ruabon and 5 miles from Wrexham, the largest town in North Wales, New Hall benefits from all the local communities have to offer. In the heart of Ruabon there is a small supermarket, fish & chip shop, café, bakery, library, bank, post office and newsagents. The service provides support for males (aged 18 years +) diagnosed with a learning disability and/or additional complex needs including autism and mental health needs.
