We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist (Senior) to join our existing friendly team! 

  • Permanent 40 hours per week
  • £54,000 – £64,800 per annum (dependent on experience)

Requirements: HCPC and RCSLT registration as this is essential.

This vacancy is to be based across our locations in North Wales including New Hall Independent Hospital based in Wrexham, St David’s Independent Hospital based in Corwen and other Denbighshire Services.

As a Speech and Language Therapist (Senior) you will:

  • Provide a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and Autism.
  • Providing education, training, support and advice to colleagues and carers to enable them to provide the best possible care and quality of life for individuals who use MHC services.
  • To provide clinical supervision for the team of Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and be a senior clinician within the organisation.
  • To manage a complex caseload of adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties within independent hospital and residential settings
  • To deliver a person centred service where individuals are involved in the development of their care plans and goals.

New Hall

New Hall Independent Hospital provides open, locked and low secure services at three separate units in Ruabon, Wrexham, for up to 32 men aged 18 to 64 who have a primary diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness/mental disorder. It can take patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

It provides rehabilitation and recovery services to support and enable individuals to successfully achieve transfer or discharge to a more independent setting.
