JOB SUMMARY
The postholder will be responsible for managing the Learning & Development and Resident Activities department at our head office base in Llandyrnog.
The Service Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of employee training and development across the organisation. This role will design, implement, and manage learning programs that support business objectives, improve performance, and foster a culture of continuous learning. You will also be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing a range of social, recreational, and educational activities to enhance the well-being and community engagement of residents. This role fosters a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive residential environment through thoughtfully designed programs that cater to diverse interests and needs.
As a Service Manager you will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Assess current and future training needs through job analysis, performance evaluations, and regular consultation with managers.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs (in-person and digital) for employees at all levels.
- Select and manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through metrics and feedback.
- Oversee induction programs to ensure smooth integration of new staff.
- Support leadership and succession development initiatives, including coaching and mentoring programs.
- Manage and maintain our e-learning platform and digital tools to streamline access to training resources.
- Manage the L&D budget and ensure cost-effective training solutions.
