About the Role: The purpose of the role is support the team and service in the delivery of high quality, healthy and nutritional focussed food along with safe hygiene practices. You will be required to meet all current guidelines and requirements, including relevant recording and documentation.
It will be part of your role to support patients’ health, cultural and religious needs and offer a healthy choice of foods and encourage feedback from the views of the patients within the service.
The Cook will also be responsible for the accurate ordering of food provisions and ensuring all stock levels are checked at the time of completing orders to ensure over or under ordering is avoided. This is to keep costs within budgetary requirements whilst maintaining sufficient stock for menus
About the Service: St David’s Independent Hospital stands by the banks of the River Dee and within walking distance of the small village of Carrog – A picturesque part of North Wales. The service provides open rehabilitation and treatment for males (aged 18 years +) diagnosed with a learning disability and/ or additional complex needs including autism and mental health needs.

Salary: £10.07 per hour
Desirable / Requirements: Experience of working in a kitchen, level 2 in food hygiene and food preparation, a knowledge of specific diets including dysphagia and diabetes
Hours of Work: Part-time – 12 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday
Contract Type: Permanent
