Night Staff Nurse – Glyn Rhosyn

Salary: £41670.72 per annum

Requirements: RNMH / RNLD / RGN (with experience or willing to work towards further training in relation to Learning Disabilities) / Diploma / Degree & NMC registration.  Be able to demonstrate continuous professional development. We would welcome applications for preceptorship.

Hours of Work: Nights shifts, 42 hours per week

About the role: We have a Staff Nurse Position available to work in a high performing Residential care home supported by an experienced Nursing and Management team.  Applicants must hold appropriate Nursing qualifications as the roles foundations are on individualised resident care. MHC’s preceptorship package is a supportive structured process that allows newly qualified nurses to develop their skills with supervision and guidance

A key aspect of the role is supporting the resident’s journey and progression through the care pathway. Provide clinical leadership to both staff and residents. Act as a role model for the delivery of care and ensure that all staff are performing to required standards. Ensure effective and adequate individual assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care and oversee the named nurse role for your identified residents.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, share your experiences and really make a difference to the lives of those we support. It may be that you want a change, fresh start or just want to bring your skills to Glyn Rhosyn, where at the same time you can benefit from support and guidance from the management team. There will be an opportunity for you to access our bespoke training package and internal training.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in working with individuals with a Learning Disability and mental health issues, possess experience in being a named nurse, writing care plans and risk management plans and for preceptorship nurses willing to undertake the preceptorship package offered at Glyn Rhosyn. Within this role you will need an understanding of person centred care, positive behaviour support, active support, team working, personal development, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.

About the Service: Glyn Rhosyn is based in the town of Holywell and is a residential nursing service for individuals living with a learning disability, who are looking to step down from acute services or step up from community based services. By means of working with individuals using active support, person centred planning (PCP) and positive behavioural support (PBS) we strive towards achieving positive outcomes, including wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

These purpose built homes in the heart of the community in Holywell, North Wales, are for men aged 18+ who have a diagnosis of borderline to moderate learning disabilities who may have co-existing secondary conditions such as complex and/or mental health needs and Autism.

Glyn Rhosyn provides nursing care for up to 10 men who are looking to step down from acute services or step up from community-based services. The six-bed Glyn Rhosyn Villas offers community based residential living without nursing.
